Apparently you didn't get the point of my last post. Please stop the spam, I would like to finish planning out the game's necessities without having to read a handful of pointless comments

I already said that I would choose something in the range of dressing up and playing mage. It's simple and easy to get

I believe the one where the kids dress up and pretend to be wizards should be implemented.

Ok, now that the tutorial is planned, should a wizard school be implemented? I think so.

Yeah, I as well. It'd make it easier instead of thinking of a new way to learn your magician skills or something.

The school sounds like a great idea to me, i think there should be some sort of training facility for all starter classes, what do you guys think?

Like a military school(example) for warriors, magic school for magicians, etc

Yeah, and an archery school, and such. But would there be schools for the more advanced classes, like Beast Master and such, or will there be single trainer? There should be a school for magicians, archers, and warriors, and then there needs to be independent trainers scattered around Alagaesia.

Nahh, I don't think there should be trainers for secondary classes since by then people should be able to figure it out on their own, the schools are good for the newbies that want to learn their classes. Plus it can open up paths to different secondary classes, like you can learn to BECOME a secondary class at one of those schools, but they don't teach you the secondary class, you gotta learn that on your own. OR we could do FE's idea, and have random secondary class trainers around the Alagaesia that you have to seek out to learn more of that skill.

There will be trainers for all skills; that's been established, I believe.

I don't think the schools should be just for noobs. I think they should a bunch of magician spells, and the more you practice, the stronger the spells they teach you. Then, when you master the primary class, they refer you to an independent trainer that can help you.

Yeah, and what I suggested before, some people in secret at the magician guild start practicing Sorcery etc...and that's where you can learn sorcery or something.

The training "schools" sounds like a good idea to me but sounds like an aweful lot of extra stuff to work out and code, couldn't there be a short tutorial for teaching how things work and let it go at that?

Maybe a training area or something for each class with a helpful guide or something or maybe thats what is meant by the "School"?

I hardly know a thing when it comes to coding, so I don't know how hard it would be, but Span said that he liked the idea.

There needs to be a disadv. to becoming a rider. Im not sure if this was mentioned, or VERY NEARLY EVERYONE will want to become one. It will be like the pures of RS. Very good, but their drawback is 0 defence bonuses. It is balanced by an account that has good attack and defence, but not both. So, what I'm trying to get at, is that if you become a dragon rider, you do get certain things, but you never get others. Agree or not? Post your replies, but dont flame Razz.

I won't have it so that being a dragon rider affects your personal stats, it would be pretty pointless.

So with the schools for classes, have we decided that there will be a school for every class, or will it just be small tutorials for each class? Im personally in favour of the schools, and they would be spread out all over the place so you have to travel a fair distance to get somewhere. But thats just me.

The schools will only cover the basic skills that you may want to learn, such as magic, archery, and swordsmanship.

Not everyone is going to want to be a rider. Shades are the counter-class to riders, and I think it may be evenly distributed among them, and riders are very hard to become anyway.

Becoming a Dragon Rider means quitting your guild, or being enemied to the Order...As well, Rider won't be easy to accomplish so its -good- if -everyone- tries to become a rider ( sort of like trying to become level 138 )...

Yes, schools will cover the basics and help you get acustomed to the class you're training in.

And we already decided that dragon rider will be obatainable at level 100+

Wow, havn't been on here is soo long! Anyways, I like the schools idea but have a few questions about it. Will all the schools be in different locations? How many schools will there be per ability(will there just be one school for each ability)? How hard will the schools be to find? Has the school idea been "set in stone"?

Yes.

There will be a school for archery, magic, and melee combat.

How hard will the schools be to find?

Probably not that hard. They'll probably be public.

Has the school idea been "set in stone"?

As far as I can tell, yes.

As far as I know, there will only be one school for each. Each school will be in a different city as well.
