Tutorial Zone!

Perhaps in game there could be a tutorial zone that players can either do or skip. It would give new comers the chance to figure out how to play, strategies, give them an idea of classes etc.

This zone could be on one of the islands to the southwest of the mainland. There could be a teleportation device that sends them randomly to a one of a few starter zones as well.

As always, sorry if someone mentioned this in the 91 pages on the IF, but I didn't read through each and every post to see.

I kind of like the idea, I voted yes as long as it can be skipped. It would be nice to have eventually but it's just one extra thing Span has to code.

My Vote is the Same as Alfreredocsil's....

However, I'd personally wait till after he has a game up and running, and Include it on one of the updates.

Yeah, I can see it being included in an update. I voted for one, but you cannot skip it. Tutorials can give you a great start with XP, a few neccesity items, etc.

I voted no...though i may change that...

If we did a tutorial, would we still be able to do the opening scenario we talked about over on the PM on IF?

I also voted yes, because it would get people introduced to the game, and it would teach the basic tools and give them the basic items. Im thinking kind of a Runescape tutorial her, as long as we still do the starting scene.

Yea, thats what I was thinking. The Runescape tutorial was VERY helpful. lol! I quit the game right after the tutorial! ha ha!

Lol, Ya I still don't see why I used to play that game. I used to be so addicted to that game for like a year that's all we talked about.

I picked my level 70 character back up to get warmed up for this. Yes, the RuneScape tutorial is extremely helpful. Their new one sucks though.

Dumb. You have to help that fighting guy kill a dragon. But you do not attack it, you collapse the roof on it. Real dumb. You learn little, obtain no items, etc.

O wow, thats pathetic! Why would they change it?! The other one was soo helpful, basic and it showed how to learn every single skill in an easy-to-learn way.

Yeah, I voted Yes, if it can be skipped. It would be great, but maybe if you do it you're level 0, and when you complete it (or skip) you start at level 1/2/3/4/5. It would be something sort of simple...You first meet someone, who wants you to use your...map...to find a ...class tutor? Who..makes you do some quests.

But if you have a well planned out one which actually can be useful, go ahead with it, but add in the option to skip it!

Yeah...you're right, instead of instantly releasing it, it would be great if they took time on it, slowly, and suddenly released it.

Well we're going to release the main platform of the game at first, and then add other things we come up with or the game needs later on.
