How Leveling Up Will Work

Leveling Up, like everything else, Is very simple and straightforward.

When you level up many things will happen:
1) You're level will increase by 1
2) You'll obtain 4 stat points to invest in whichever stats you want
2) You'll obtain 2 skill points to invest in whichever skill/perk you want
4) You're exp needed will increase by 1.5

So when you level up you'll be shown a screen where you can add points to the stats you want. +1 to str, +3 def. Or whichever way you're building your character.

What about making things. Wont that give you exp?

Well, your level(so to speak) for a specific skill is different than your actual combat level, so I guess making something would give you craftsmen exp? I'm kinda guessing.

I think when making something, it counts toward perk/skill points, not any experience for combat level or anything. Otherwise, it's fairly simple and I think its great.

Im thinking theres many ways of gaining XP. We've all played MMORPGs before.

I really kike this system

There's more than those ways of getting exp. Crafting will have it's own experience table though, forgot to explain that anywhere. The more you craft the higher it goes, and when that experience gets to its max you level up craftsman wise, and can invest in craftsman skills/perks only. The reason for that is so that people don't pick craftsman just to level up really fast by making stuff then use that experience to level up other classes.

You're level 1, your MAX exp at that level is 20, your CURRENT exp is 10. You kill a wolf that gives you 10 exp, you level up.

Ya that would be a really cheap way of leveling up. I've said this before, but for somebody who has thought of this alone, these are great ideas.

What about combat stats? Is it just your combat level or do you have individual skills like strength, defence etc.

I am pretty sure that it will be like that.

If you have played runescape I think the skills will be sorta like that.

O and if you have or do play runescape post in the topic in off topic discussion because some of us are using it as a way to get ready for this game since it will be sorta the same.

Yes. There will be your "combat level" which go up as you gain experience and such. And you're "Stats" which consist of Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Defense that make you stronger, etc

How will death effect leveling up? When you die will you lose experience?

I don't think so.At least I haven't heard anything like that.My guess is that it will be unaffected.
