Civilization Empty Civilization

Ok here we go.This game is just you are the leader of your country.Must make up name.You will tell how you city prospers.

Rules:

1.Can have no more than ten warriors to start with.You have five men (non military) and five women.You can change up like say have five men 3 women and 12 warriors.No more than 20 people to start out with.1 baby can be born every 2 posts and can be made a warrior after 1 more post.

2.You must post one good thing and one bad thing that happens.EX:Baby is born.Man is killed by bear.

3.You can declare war on another country.You can attack younger countries if they have 3 less warriors than you.

4.Can only get to the tops of 15 warriors.

5.You start out with 5 ships that can fish and 6 that have 2 cannons on each ship.

6.You must have at least two posts before declaring war.

7.Each city has one major resource.EX:Diamonds,gold,timber,fish,agricultural things like meat or compost.

8.Alliances are allowed.But no ganging up on one civilization.

9.Barracks can be made and can make two warriors every 2 posts.

More rules will probably be added so check back.

Good:Men and women go out and cut three loads of logs and build a town center to start their country.(load equals 4 logs each ten foot long)

Bad:Man eats bad food and must stay out of work for 3 days making it harder for the colony to gather and protect for the colony.

Your civilization can grow by a baby coming or someone wandering into your colony or something like that yes that can happen.

I think, if you get in an alliance, it should not be able to be broken unless agreed upon by the two parties.

Though I like the idea shurt, may I suggest something more like this?

Okay, this is like build a Civ. However, we are having a few changes.

For those of you who have played either version of Build-A Civ, this is very similar. I am barrowing FogofNature’s rules, but adding a few to fit the changes I am making. This is less chaotic than build a civ on here. This allows you to see the other civ's strength.

You start with a handful (2-20) iliterate, primative people (humans) who live in caves and from there you can play god and say they discovered how to make fire or build houses or whatever, just be sure to explain how they did it.
here's the rules:
1. You can't start with some all powerful civilization from the word go.
2. Once your civilization has grown to sufficiant size you can make peac/war with other civs
3. Populations can grow at a reasonable rate. Do not forget old age, desease and accidental deaths in your calculations.
5. Posts move up to 1 month First post can take up a maximun of one year. (Later on, the posting years may me increased.

Rules of engagement(acts of war)
1. Your civ has the right to reject offers of peace without causing a war so long as it is done peacefully
2. You can obliterate a civ but you have to leave them with at least 1 man and 1 woman so they can start over
3. You can outright attack a civ if they have given no reason to do so, just leave them with something to build from.

Rules for Peace:
1: These are modeled after the Greek city states, peace may be made with one person, and even that will be shaky.

Rules of religion
1 you can create a religion for your civ
2. You have to explain why they worship such deities in the first place
3. If you are at war you are allowed to force your religion among your conquests.

Rules of Expansion:
1: This will take awhile. First, the posts are only at one month intervals. And secondly, the summer months will be spent fighting or concentrating on the movements on other civs so you can protect your civ.

ABSOLUTLY NO GODMODDING!!!

The outline for each post is like so:

Civ: (name)
Population:
Civ color: (for the map)
Resources:
Cities/villiages:
Year and Month:
Alliences: (Read rules)
Religion: (if applicable)

Also, keep in mind that we are starting as city states, your territory will be small, basically the city and surrounding area for farming, etc.

The lighter green on the map is the mountains, while the dark green is the valleys.

I shall start.

Civ: ὁπλίτης (Hoplites)
Population: 10 men, 10 women
Color: Red
Resources: ?
Year: 0-1
[size="3"]Map. Will update as best as possible. Red:Hoplites, Black:? White:? Yellow:? Pink:? Tan:? Purple:? Grey:? Orange:?

10 males and 10 females awake in caves. They find berries outside and eat them.

The birds annoy them with their screeching, so a man picks up a stone and chucks it at a bird. He misses miserably, but the men begin to get good at throwing stones. One of the stones hits another rock, creating a spark. They do this again, after they gather grass and dried twigs the sparks catch the grass on fire, after over an hour of trying, they finally get it.

With fire, meat is cooked when the men finally get good enough at throwing stones to kill small animals. Sharp stones are used to skin the animals, which are skewered on sticks and held over the fire.

Yes, and they are mine. :Hoplite: That is after months of play time perfecting things. However, it is a little limited, so I would make changes to open things back up. It really depends on the core players. The Core over on IF needs the limitations.

Well DM I actually did this wrong and made it just plain out confusing so I guess this topic is done.Hey MD post build a civ over here.It would be better than this.I a came up with this off the top of my head but it just confused people so it's done.
