Should there be one?
Level Cap??
Is there going to be a level cap in AO or is it just going to let you keep going?? Just curious.

Re: Level Cap??
No, Spaniard recently said (just before we moved to this forum) that there will be no level cap.

Re: Level Cap??
I think there should be a level cap. If the game is set up right, you wont get bored. Now, cap on XP gained, no, that should be infinant. But I think there should be a level cap. However, seeing as Span said no, there must be a good reason.
Re: Level Cap??
I really wouldn't have minded either way, as long as the cap would have been VERY high I would have accepted it also, but I'm glad that Span said no.

Re: Level Cap??
I put no because I know eventually someone is going to reach that cap, no matter how high I put it. But I think I MIGHT put it so that you can't level after you've mastered every class

Re: Level Cap??
My suggestion is that your exterior level is a combination of the offensive and defensive skills. the crafting skills and all should be ignored for fighting level. Eventually, you will max out at say, level 99 in all fighting skills. that gets you to a certan lvl. you can keep adding XP, and you can max your crafting skills out, but crafting skills would not count towards exterior fighting level. Also, beast tameing would be part of the offensive skills set in this case.
Re: Level Cap??
I agree with the lvl 99 max in fighting skills.

So you can improve on attack power to a certain extent, but passive attributes are limitless in how far you can take them.
Sounds good to me.

Re: Level Cap??
I think there should be a level cap, and a reward for reaching it. Like skillcapes in RS that give you special emotes, but way cooler. Like, for instance, say you max out Magic if that is a skill. You get a new spell, or like a super cool looking/ powerful ultrarare staff that can only be obtained by maxing it out. Idk, suggestions...

Re: Level Cap??
Sorry for double post, but my question is: if its infinite, you have to keep unlocking things or do you just do more damage when you cast or get more mana or something?

Re: Level Cap??
You probably just do more damage and get more mana. It's impossible to always have an item available for every level, because you don't know if anyone's going to get there or not.
I kinda like the max out idea. If there is a level cap(which I don't want), that could be a good idea.

Haha I'm just suggesting things, kind of like throwing pasta against a wall, and seeing what sticks.

Re: Level Cap??
Yeah, but Runescape summonings sucked pretty bad, and summoning was extremely expensive to raise.

Re: Level Cap??
Exactly thats why i hated it and it sucked. Summoning was completely unuseful... wayy to expensive.

Yeah, most of the skills on Runescape were too expensive.
