Special Weapons and Abilities.
So, the rider sword discussion turned to special abilities of their swords. I made this topic so that we could forumlate a limited number of rider swords, their abilities and a small number of special weapons.
WHAT ARE SPECIAL WEAPONS:
Special weapons are weapons that have a special ability. This ability has a rechargable bar of energy. It recharges over time. Some you might have to go to a specia place to recharge your weapons or armour.
RECHARGE BAR: This is an energy bar that identy fies how much energy you have. If you have enough energy, you can use the special ability. The Number of Attacks is ho many times you can use the special ability with a full recharge
RIDER SWORDS:
Elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Ice, Air, Lightning, Shadow (cant think of any more at the moment)
Shadow: Your shadow rises up and attacks once. Number of Attacks: 2
Fire:
Water:
Earth:
Ice:
Lightning:
Air:
SPECIAL WEAPONS:
Sirthrel Daggers:
SD: This is a special dagger that has been poisoned with Sithrel (sp) oil.
SD+: This is a special dagger that has been poisoned with Sithrel (sp) oil. It is stronger that the SD.
SD++: This is a special dagger that has been poisoned with Sithrel (sp) oil. It is the strongest of the three.
These would have a special ability of a duel hit. Number of Attacks: 5

I like this. I will obviously have my sword the element of shadows, as it fits its' name.

I think you need to be a rider to get a rider sword...
That being said maybe you can take rider swords if you kill the rider, but then they can go to rhunon and get another (for a price). I think you get a rider sword the same color as your magic and dragon, so if you get red it adds fire damage to your attack, White adds ice damage, Blue adds water damage, yellow adds lightning and so on. I like the idea with the Seithr oil, but maybe you can buy flasks of the oil for a high price, and then treat your weapon with it. Then it lasts for say ten minutes before wearing off and you need to treat it again. It could multiply your damage by, say, 1.3 or something that is a very good bonus without being ridiculous.

Sirthel oil will proabally be extremly epensive and hard to get. We are talking like 1 million crowns. Perhaps you could have a base that you can mix with the Sirthel oil to make a perminant Poisoned blade. Having poison for a few minutes will not make it worth while. No, I think Rider swords should stay with the rider.
Or, if you were able to aquire rider swords, then the special ability would be useless.

Yeah, I also agree that non riders shouldn't get rider swords. It would give them too much of an advantage, even if the special ability is taken off. The sword is still indestructible, and can't be effected and cuts through all but the most powerful of wards.

True. i think you shoul be able to keep a few weapons when you die. one would be a riders sword.
Hey, that would be a cool idea. When I rider dies, rider only items are left there. Youcan se them, but not pck tehm up. They will disapear after like 24 hours, or something like that.

Lol that would be torture. You try to pick up this super amazing weapon that's worth your entire house, and when your hand is a centimeter away from it, an unseen force sends you flying.

Also couldn't you enhance a normal weapon with spells for a limited time? Like a flame damage boost for a few minutes in a battle or something like that?
And I believe the only way to get Rider edition stuff would be to do missions for the Order.

I like both of those ideas Bris. As long as the Rider items you get aren't too powerful. The most powerful Rider items should stay with riders.

Yes, of course. I'm talking like slightly better looking armor or weapons. Not Rider Swords.

Fire: Flames fly out of your blade and constantly inflict damage to the opponent, giving you double what you hit. Say you hit a 100 (IDK hp system yet) and you have special on. You get 200. Ice you could freeze them and make them unable to attack.. Lightning comes out of your sword and electrocutes them, doing consistant damage for like 20 seconds, air you could cause them to be hit by an instant attack, and earth could increase your defence. idk?

Rider swords are already going to do that. Hmmm, I might close this and restart it much more oranization and some new ideas.
