Basic Armour/Weapons and Material

I am pretty sure that scouts should be like this:

Scouts wear padded or light mail armour and are equipped with a spear or a large axe

This looks cool to me.

Spear or Axe? I really prefer the bow, and shortsword/dagger idea...The dagger would be used to cut open hunted animals, and the bow to...shoot from far with.

Yea I like that better. However I think the armor is about right.

Scout are supposed to have light armor, such as leather. Warriors will be using mail, plate, etc

And exactly what I have. If there is one thing I know, it is weapons, armour and the different types of fighters.

How are the ones in red letters different from the ones in white letters?

Isn't being a regular warrior pointless then because to get the best armour you're going to have to be a Rider?

I want to be an assassin! (obviously, that would be pretty lame if I didn't)

I don't know the answer to your first question, but warriors already get stronger weapon than magicians or scouts, and their armor is based on pure defense, which makes them effective tanks.

Red is what is going to have to be in the game when it starts. They are the bare necessities.

WHite will wait for updates.

Best armour will be for riders, but you can not be a magician, become a rider and wear rider armour. It is specilized for each class.

What do you mean specialized for each class???

Like you have to have your knight class high enough to wear plate armour of that material, etc.

Can you mix armour...let's say I'm a magician and a Knight...can I wear a plate bottom, but then some magic robes on my torso?

I....think you can, but you just can't use a knight ability if you're wielding a staff.

depends on the ability though. can not do asword strck ability with a staff.

Yeah, the ability I was thinking was something like a powered-up slash. Not that this will be a skill, and it probably won't, but it was just an example.

Like...you can wield a staff, and use a knight ability to boost your defense by X amount for X seconds, but you can't wield a staff and use (random assassin attack that doesn't exist) Sword Shadow Strike, only usable as the first attack, but stuns for 5 seconds and does double damage.

EDIT: So basically...some skills can only be used while wielding some weapon, or some skills can only be used by wearing some armour...Am I right?

But it's still possible to use...an arcane mage's attack, as a Berserker?
