I think that Bris has a 3rd person view for the climbing & grappling phase, but Span has the idea of a bird's eye view for the whole fight. I'm not really sure, though. Guess it has to be clarified by Span.

Im not talking about the flying in particular, the whole game will be played through a bird's eye view type of perspective. Meaning that you'll see a few tiles ahead of you, similar to a RTS game where you're able to see most of the map at one time.

And what I have in mind is that the view will change to either a view directly behind the dragon, or from side on, so that both dragons are visible. It would be hard to see the Climbing and Grappling phase in birds eye, even harder to know where and what you're hitting. A side on view I believe would be the best, since you don't have to zoom in or out.

But I already knew that the battle would be played in birds eye perspective. Everything but the 1st and 2nd phase of battle would be in Birds eye.

Whoever our artist is would have to pixel that whole scene, I can't have it so that it zooms in in any sort of way, or change the games view

We'll have to have to find a way to integrate it with the view that the game will have

No one said it would be easy, lol. We'll have to compromise on some things to make the game do-able. That means we'll have to settle on what we can do at the present to get a playble version then tweak things as we go along. Like figuring out different perspectives and how to integrate them maybe?

Yes. Best thing I say is to ignore areal combat for now. Besides, no one will be getting rider any time soon. We can work it out later. Us mods will have to buckly up and just go without areal combat.

Good point, becoming a rider is going to be extremely hard, and that will ake a long time for someone to get even the level to qualify for a riders test, let alone complete the tests

Yeah, I agree. Let's leave the arial battles aside until Riders start appearing. Though, it will be a bit of a drag not to fight any of the other mods in the air, but I'll wait.

But, we still would like to be prepared because we do not know exactly how early on people will be gaining Ridership. Because how to fight an arial battle will certainly be one of the lessons taught in Vroengard.
