Re: Starter classes and hybrid classes
Not really, no, that's pretty annoying...anyone else thinking Shade+Berserker = OP? You're wielding a two-handed/axe, wearing sick armour, casting crazy necromancy spells (that aren't damage based so armour wouldn't effect it), and kicking butt with your awesome Shade close combat-ness.

Re: Starter classes and hybrid classes
You gotta buy arrows for bow classes right? That'd make it the most expensive class.
I'm thinking Berserker, Beast Tamer, or Assassin...or any combination of 2 of those.

Re: Starter classes and hybrid classes
most expensive, but you hit the fastest and can hit from long range, longer than mage. and mage is going to have mana, right, or is it runes?

LOL, mana, and if you go past that, it starts sapping health.

Runes, wtf this isn't runescape. And bow won't be that fast, they'll be pretty average but really strong

Hahahaha, you tell'em Span.
Yeah, Archers couldn't be that special or the entire balancing system will be messed up and you couldn't really regulate it with the price of arrows because a craftsman/archer will likely be able to craft his own arrows.

Nicely thought up, I really can't wait...

Re: Starter classes and hybrid classes
Yeah, sounds good, if there were runes I'd facepalm so hard my skull would come out of my head.
And as I said, we got mana, and then if you use it all it starts sapping hp .

Re: Starter classes and hybrid classes
So you could literally commit suicide by casting yourself to death? That doesnt sound like a good idea, i would just say that you couldnt cast until it recharged or you used stored energy. (will we have that? ALSO, a question unrelated to this but one i dont know where to put. If you become a rider, will Rhunon make you a sword? Or no?

Yes, Rhunon will, but I don't know the details, you should ask my Encyclopedia Fall-E (Fallen Elf), MD, Alfie, or Span himself.

Yeah you could, but that makes it all the more like Alagaesia. You have to know your limits, and one spell probably isn't going to drain what's left of your mana and your entire health bar, so that'll probably serve as a warning enough.

Re: Starter classes and hybrid classes
Well I'm having it more realistic to where you can literally work yourself to death. If you're casting powerful spells left and right you better be ready to pay the ultimate price. Same goes with traveling without food or water, good luck with that

Re: Starter classes and hybrid classes
Yeah i could tell. But what are the requirements for you to qualify as a Dragon Rider? Because if they aren't kind of base line, that could be a problem. Also, are we going to limit the # of DR to the population? like 1 per every 200 people (once it gets really popular) or can anyone get it at a high enough level?
